Elite School of Optometry

The External Internship is a 6 month program offered by the Elite School of Optometry – Sankara Nethralaya. Enrolled students will receive clinical training at ESO to perform a comprehensive optometry workup followed by observation at the optometry clinics in Sankara Nethralaya and participation in community outreach programs of ESO.

Eligibility – Third year B.Optom students from a recognized university with at least 70% aggregate marks

Duration – 6 months (July to December or January to June)

Admission Process – Admissions are open twice a year in July and January. Candidates can send a request email to eso@snmail.org with their grade sheets and a Bonafide certificate from their institution. Following initial scrutiny, candidates will be called for an MCQ based online Examination. This examination will cover core optometry subjects. Students scoring more than 50% in the online exam will be called for an interview with the Principal. Selected students will then be notified via mail by the ESO office.

At the end of the internship, students will receive an internship completion certificate.
